Dear Ervad Saheb,

As in the blog above you mentioned that Parsis should begin to observe all Fasli Festivals.
Can you please give more details on Zoroastrian Radih Society, so that we can attend and be a part of observance of the Fasli Hingam.

Thank you & ever grateful to you for your hard work in enlightening us all.

Dear Eric,

The observance of the New Year and arrangement of the calendar was roughly done by Peshdadian King Jamshed, hence the name Jamshedi Navroze. The advent of the Prophet Zarathushtra resulted in the connection of the calendar with the Gaas of Zarathushtra and the establishment of the Pav Mahel and the re-fortification of Atash Behrams. Thus the calendar was made more powerful and in closer sync with nature by the Prophet, although the original observances were started by King Jamshed under the Divine Inspiration of Sarosh Yazad. Hence the name of Jamshed remains forever linked to the calendar.
